Accidents...
ac·ci·dent
[ak-si-duh–noun
1.
an undesirable or unfortunate happening that occursunintentionally and usually results in harm, injury, damage, orloss; casualty; mishap: automobile accidents.
Football Games, You've got to love them. last night we had our homecoming game. It's was ahhh-mazing, getting to see all my friends and scream and cheer and take pictures. We even stormed the field when the game was over.
So now your probably wondering what this has to do with accidents...well i'm going to tell ya. Kelsey, her little sister and I got into a car accident heading home from the game. There we were just driving along with a really stupid driver in front of us. So we kept driving trying to figure out what was going on with this driver, a drunko apparently because as we were driving along trying to maintain a safe distance away, the car slammed on the brakes right away. Kelsey Slammed on the brakes right away but the car stopped so quickly that we slammed right into them. I looked up just in time to see the speeding away...
It's funny how even with an accident like that, where none of us were hurt, it's weird how much actually goes through your mind in the few seconds that all this took place. You have all these thoughts about thinking if your ok and if everyone else is ok, and when it finally hits you, sooner or later, all you can do is cry...but either way an accident is an Accident!

a·lone
[uh-lohn]–adjective (used predicatively)
1.
separate, apart, or isolated from others
Sitting home by myself waiting for my dad to get home. I started working on my tutu, which looks awesome, but I got bored so here I am, typing away for the lovely Erica to read!
So today was an overall success, and my lovely tie dye tights and pastel tutu, mixed with a lovely moose hat giving to me by my mother! Tomorrow Astronaut day, I wont be taking part in, it's just to time consuming.
Well I supose it's time to talk about some food...
over the weekend my dad and I made the long awaited potato pancakes. These pancakes are better than any potato pancakes you will ever eat. The recipe is a family recipe that way my Great Grandma Ida's. But man, oh man, they are the greatest thing in the world!
I just love COOKING, BAKING, MAKING, or whatever you can do with food, so I'm thinking i'll make something now because thats the best thing to do when I'm alone.

Procrasti...what?
pro·cras·ti·nate
[proh-kras-tuh-neyt]–verb (used without object)
1.
to defer action; delay: to procrastinate until an opportunityis lost.
Well, I thought I was going to do my homework when I got home but then I remembered that Dexter was on TV last night and I had some catching up to do, anyways I could do it after. Well after Dexter (which I was quite a good episode if I do say so myself, but i wont go on with any spoilers) I was going to start that homework, but then I realized that I didn't eat lunch yet. So I ate some ramen and held the homework, I obviously can't do both at once. Done with lunch. I could start my homework, but not in the living room, that would distract me. So I in place of the living room went to my room where I did my homework and wasn't distracted by my laptop, my ipod, or my Harry Potter, right? WRONG! I sat on my bed checked my face book for a minute or two or twenty? Then made a playlist on my ipod that I could listen to while doing my homework and then had a random thought about Harry Potter and just had to read a chapter, or four. Okay, done with all that, it's only five, i have another two hours before the movie night! NOPE! Buzz Buzz, "hey Nikki, are you going to the Movie night? okay good! I'm going to pick you up soon so we can go shopping for some things before. OK! See you soon." Click. CRAP!!! Called dad got the okay, realized I had laundry to put away, did that quick. Went to the movie for the Monday night Homecoming Week activity, and finally rolled into the house close to ten.
The best part is what am I doing now? Sitting here writing about not doing homework, and still not doing the homework for tomorrow, but that's it, I'm doing it now!

Okay well not now but when I post this!

Hola!

With that swell opening, Welcome to my first blog!
Well even though only one person that I know of is gonna read this (hi Erica!)....I'm gonna start simple with a bit about me. I'm a female who is 16, and from the lovely state of Iowa, where I currently reside. i am about 5/8 of the way finished with my high school career and hope to be going to Iowa State in the fall of 2013. From my blog name I'm sure that you can figure what my main interest is....FOOD!...for those of you not quite on top of it today.
I'm having a lot of brain farts right now.
I don't remember what I wanted to say...
....
..
.........Oh! Well my blog isn't going to be all about food, but I think I'll for sure use it to talk about stuff I make or my trying supper hard to go to ISU and get into the culinary program. Otherwise you'll just be reading about my lovely life.
Welcome Homecoming week! Or more does it welcome us into it's fun daily costumes that allow us to embarrass ourselves even more, take today for instance. Roll Out of Bed Day. Of course I go into school wearing my trendy black and green footie pjs with the lovely Grinch's face for the feet! But yet I go down the hall finding a third of our school wearing footie pjs, and still feel as though I've gone to school wearing absolutely nothing! That's nothing though, what really kills me is the walking into a classroom with only one or two people in their pjs, and theirs aren't nearly as crazy as mine! That's when the real embarrassment kicks in.
Oh well I think, when I don't wear anything crazy I feel boring, like I made no impact!
